
Recently, the well-known third-party logistics market research organization Armstrong & Associates and the authoritative logistics industry magazine ""Transport Topics"" jointly announced the list of the top 50 global air freight forwarders in 2021.
In the list of the top 50 global air freight forwarders, DHL (1.8 million tons) topped the list with a huge advantage of 380,000 tons of air freight volume ahead of the second place Kuehne+Nagel (1.42 million tons).
The third place is DSV Panalpina. After the merger of the two companies, the air freight volume reached 1.27 million tons.
It is worth mentioning that Apex Logistics (No. 7) is the only Chinese company to enter the top 10 of the list, with air freight volume reaching 750,000 tons.
There are 8 Chinese freight forwarding companies on the list:
- 4 companies are from mainland China, namely Sinotrans (No. 12, 500,000 tons), AWOT (No. 25, 220,000 tons), Beijing Harmony Zekun (No. 36, 100,000 tons), and Worldwide Logistics(44th, 65,000 tons).
- Three companies are from Hong Kong, China, namely Apex Logistics (No. 7, 750,000 tons), Kerry Logistics (No. 13, 490,000 tons), and BEL (No. 49, 50,000 tons) .
- and 1 Chinese Taiwanese company Dimerco (26th, 200,000 tons).
The other 51 companies on the list are from:
14 companies in the United States, 6 companies in Japan, 4 companies in Germany, 2 companies in Switzerland, 2 companies in Denmark, 2 companies in France, 2 companies in Austria, 1 company in Spain, 1 company in South Africa, 1 company in New Zealand, 1 company in Australia, 1 company in Sri Lanka, and 1 company in India 1 company in the Netherlands, 1 company in Singapore, 1 company in Italy, 1 company in Kuwait, 1 company in Luxembourg, and 1 company in Chile.

Freight forwarding giant Kuehne + Nagel successfully defended its title with a shipping volume of 4.55 million boxes. Chinese company Sinotrans ranked second (3.77 million boxes) ahead of DHL with a huge advantage, and DHL ranked third (2.83 million boxes). The ranking of the top three has remained unchanged for three consecutive years.
Among them, a total of 16 Chinese companies are on the list, of which 9 are from mainland China, 6 are from Hong Kong, China, and 1 is from Taiwan, China.
