At 22:05 on September 11, with the strong support of Heilongjiang Provincial Department of Transportation, Heilongjiang Provincial Department of Finance, relevant departments of Harbin Municipal People's Government, airport Group and Harbin Customs,a fully loaded B777 passenger-to-cargo aircraft, MU7309, flew from Harbin Taiping International Airport to Los Angeles Airport, marking an important step in Harbin's entry into the North American air cargo market.

The route is operated by Umex Air Cargo (Harbin) Co., LTD.It is planned to ship 3 classes per week, with a capacity of 45 tons per class and 120 flights per year.Exports are mainly clothing, daily necessities, household appliances, bags and other goods,expected to provide about 6,000 tons of air capacity for foreign trade enterprises throughout the year.

Harbin is located in the core hinterland of Northeast Asia, the closest region to the Arctic Circle and North America, and an important gateway for the opening up of Northeast China. Its good aviation location advantage has shaped an important channel for connecting China, Europe and North America, and laid an important foundation for the construction of Harbin air cargo hub.
